About Nālani

Aloha mai!

Mahalo for visiting my page! I'm Nālani Dudoit, a native Hawaiian woman from Lahaina, Maui.

My love for hula began at the age of five, just like most island girls, in a hālau (hula school). My hula career began at the Old Lahaina Lūʻau and it opened my heart to another passion of mine today, the Tahitian dance. Shortly after working there, I joined a Tahitian hālau. Learning hula and Tahitian from my elders has taught me to respect everyone's feelings and beliefs, and yet to know my own.

I have also been blessed to meet many native Hawaiian speakers and have developed yet another passion of mine, the Hawaiian culture and its language.

Hawaii has out lived many waves of people, cultures, and styles but one thing has remained, the aloha of the people from here. I want you to know that true aloha of Hawaii. I am very excited to share my knowledge with you.

A hui hou, until we meet again.
